Abstract
A number of significant changes have been made to ABET’s criteria for accrediting computing programs. For the ’18-’19 review cycle, programs had the option to be evaluated under the new criteria. However, the changes are mandatory with the ’19-’20 review cycle. This presentation will provide an overview of the accreditation process and a detailed discussion of the recent changes to the general as well as program-specific criteria. Some of the more significant changes impact assessment and curriculum requirements. Additional potential impacts on programs will also be addressed.
